Holy Faith Associates
The Beginnings
Since Vatican II, the importance of religious and lay people working together to bring about the Reign of God in the world has been stressed. The inspiration to form the Holy Faith Associate movement came from this deeper awareness of our common call, common mission and our responsibility to work together and grow in faith and holiness together.

Added to this was our desire to share with others our Holy Faith spirit and heritage, walking in faith and sharing together in the mission of Jesus. This also was a return to our roots, as many lay volunteers shared Margaret Aylward’s charism and vision in the early years of her work.

The Present
At present, there are two groups of Associates in Ireland, one meeting in Dublin city and the other in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. They gather together on a regular basis for prayer, spiritual input, sharing and support. The two groups occasionally combine for a social evening, go on retreats together and attend Holy Faith functions along with the Sisters.

The Associates desire to share in the mission and spirit of the Sisters of the Holy Faith. They join with the sisters in their work for faith and justice and in their concern for the less well off and the marginalised in our society. They also help in advocacy projects initiated by the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice.
